Hello Friends!

I want to invite you to my ordination this Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church.  It's not going to be a huge deal if you miss, but I would love for as many of you as possible to come and be a part of this with me.  Many of you have been with me since day one of my coming to Southside as a pastor, and I would just like to invite you to be with me on this day.  I love you all, and I wish I could spend more time with you, but my pre-schoolers and baby won't be this age forever.  I really do love all of you and I hope I'll see you Sunday night!

Matt

Hey Matt! I wish I had known you were being ordained sunday night, I could've stayed in town longer. But I really did need to get back, this is our last week of classes and next week is finals. So I've got some great news. I have a job offer in WR!! And I'm going to accept it. It's with Nichols, Cauley and Associates, a CPA firm in WR. So I will be back in town for good come May!

My heart sank on Sunday Morn when I found out....I just knew we couldn't make it.  But you were Ordained way before this day, and I praise GOD he has allowed others to share this occasion with you!  Thanks for all your guidance to come. I am so thankful that GOD chose you to be in my "Race".....I Love Ya'll and miss you dearly...but GOD wants me to take Southside to everyone I meet. Please pray for Sarah and I as we struggle in Redneckville....people are scared of how having a relationship with Christ could change them....and  I think I am being considered by some a fanatic!

Hey Brother Matt! It's so nice to see you...on xanga, of course. I haven't be able to attend Wednesday night church in AWHILE because of work. I do make it a priority to get a daily dose of Jesus though. :) Just thought I'd stop by and say hello! <3 Jen A.

In response to the comment to left me...

I believe that Jesus believed what he said. I don't think he was lying, exactly. I believe he was mislead.

You must understand, I am a girl of science. I am a psychology major, and I put a lot of faith into studies and theories and things of that nature. I like sciences like psychology because they never claim to know everything. I don't think anyone can know everything, and the fact that they are frank enough to admit off the bat that there is more to learn makes me more receptive to what they have to say. That is why I follow the ways of Pagan Wicca. It's all about self-responsibility and being one with others and nature and stuff. I like a religion that gives me the freedom to self express, instead of telling me what to do with my body and mind. I am a free thinking woman, and have done my Bible homework, and the way that religion treats women... honestly makes me sick some days.

I have actually done scientific studies regarding homosexuality, as well as read well over a hundred studies regarding the issue that have taken place in the last 20 years. I have read liturature from both sides of the issue, and have found that the "against" side rarely ever has any real solid data.

Once again, I have nothing against any individual Christian, I love them just as I love my non-Christia friends. And I believe certain teachings of the Bible are awesome... but they are not the first, or only, religion to come up with them.

And for your knowledge, I have been saved. My parents did not go to church, so I went myself, accepted Christ as my Lord when I was 15, and was a devote Christian for several years.

Hey Matt thank you for the comment you left me the other day, I am overcomming all of this and God has been there every step of the way. I think the turning point was at last weeks campus church on Wednesday when Pastor Jackson said sometimes we do not thank God for being God, how simple but how true! I am a little scared about my philosophy final on tuesday but I'll make it. I am comming home on Thursday and will be at Walk Through Bethlehem Friday through Sunday so you gotta walk through sometime and see me as a big bad Roman Soldier. Well I gotta go eat at the ROT so I will see ya later and thank you so much for your comment and your prayers.

In Him,

Shane
